Lyle and Scott is based in the small Scottish town of Hawick which was once the centre of the UK knitwear industry. In 1967 they produced a range of golf clothing inspired by American golfer Doug Sanders passion for brightly coloured clothes. This clothing line went on to be worn by many famous golf enthusiasts and pro's, add to this celebrities making the distinctive eagle their leisure wear of choice and this little company were onto a winner!
