HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION - PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION
We appreciate that it is your choice to provide us with your information, however, without your relevant personal details, we may not be able to complete your order or provide you with our best customer experience.
The only personal data collected directly through the order process: your name, postal address, billing address, email address and gender.
We do NOT store any credit card details nor do we share these details with any 3rd parties. The only 3rd parties who we must pass your details onto are trusted companies which we use to fulfil the contract we have with a customer – e.g. DPD, Royal Mail, Trustpilot.
HOW | WHY | WHERE |
To process and deliver your order to your door | Obviously, if you’ve made an order with us you want to receive it, so we need to use your details to send out your order! | As per our contract with you, this information is necessary to complete your order |
To take payment and refund your order | Unfortunately, we can’t give you your order for free so we’ve got to do this to complete the transaction and possibly refund. Also, it helps us prevent fraudulent orders | All of our payments go through extremely secure payment systems – don’t worry we do not store your information! |
To keep you updated with the process of your order | One of the best parts about making an order is anticipating the arrival and this way makes sure you know its every move | Again, as per contract, we need to have an email address to process your order, however providing us with a mobile number is up to you – but it makes it far easy to stay updated |
To contact you should there be any queries or issues | On a rare occasion, we may run into an issue regarding your order, we will need to directly contact you | Once the order has been placed you will have given us your email and potentially a phone number |
To create a personal account online or in-store
| This option creates a space for you to keep your wishlist and basket. Plus, it makes making an order easier with your contact details saved for next time | This is all down to you giving us your information and permission to use your information on our website |
To send you our latest newsletter and marketing messages | It’s always nice to stay in contact with you and let you know our latest news! | You will have to subscribe or agree to receive our brilliant news which you can unsubscribe from at any time |
To send you emails reminding you about an abandoned basket | Time can run away from you and this way we can send you a gentle nudge to remind you | You will only receive these emails if you have an account with us or have provided us with an email address |
To ask you to kindly give us feedback reviews | We love hearing from you and find out we did well and what we can do better next time | After you have placed an order, by contrast, we have your email address which is passed over to Trustpilot for them to contact you 12 days after your order has been dispatched |
To analyse your purchase history and the way you use our site | We all want to better ourselves - this way we know what you want and how to give it to you | This is done through cookies* – not the chocolate kind. These cookies will track your activity if you accept the pop-up |
To assess and process job applications | When hiring we need to have all the relevant information | If you’re interested in working for Rob, you can supply us with this information (we may retain a record for a reasonable period for administration purposes) |
To be able to run prize draws or competitions | We want to treat you, and without these details how would you know if you’ve won? | This will be listed on the specific term and conditions for each prize draw or competition |
